For dealing with wood cutting.....

Padded palm, wrist strap to keep the shavings out, and enough beef to keep the fingers from wearing out.

And cost, which IMO, is not a option here..

I use mechanics gloves. The only problem is, they only make one season.

Same here, my favorite has beem the Pro Scaper put out by the Stihl dealer (picking up another pair BTW), I know I'm stretching here, but anything with bullet proof finger leather?

Look for padded Elk Skin gloves.

I'll do that, thanks...

If you or anyone runs into a link, please post up..Like I said I wouldn't mind paying some extra bucks..

If you buy those at Oriellys they have a warranty, which means if you go in and bitch they will have to give you another pair. ;)

That's good info. They're gonna hate me.

I love my frigging mechanix gloves!

Hardware > CG Impact Pro Glove : Mechanix Wear

Impact Pro's I'm on my second pair. I use them for stagehand work only, and not for working on my car. Just for power tools and woodworking!

Well worth the $35, and there are padded ones for vibration too.

Oddly, I found a couple of pairs of great gloves at LA Police Gear. The shippign was slow, but the selection was great.

They sell a lot of tactical gloves, many with lots of fine dexterity features, abrasion resistance including kevlar threads. Check it out....Gloves are IN STOCK and ready to ship!

I will be home next weekend.

I will post up my favorite gloves for the ocassion.

(I'm gonna warn you now, it is gonna look like my Axe and Hiking boot thread posts, LOL)

Good, should be plenty of options then.
