Rear Tailgate domelight switch location?

I have a ghost in my rear domelight! It turns on when it wants to...usually when I drive by my a local cemetery.
I cant seem to locate the switch for it.
I'm assuming its wired separately from the doors, but I'm mot sure.

The switch on mine is on the bottom of the light itself and has 3 positions.

1: On when doors open
2: Off
3: Complete On

The switch that automatically turns on the light when the latch is opened is built into the latch inside the tailgate.

It is possible that the latch is misadjusted so it is only getting the first catch, not shutting completely to the second fully closed latching position.
