Greetings:

I have been hearing some rattling coming from the rear somewhere.
When I got underneath, I noticed there is about 3/8" play in the linkage in the picture I have attached.
My question for my own knowledge is what is this linkage called, and should there be play in it or should there be a bushing to keek everthing snug? I checked the other side and have play in that one also.

Thanks in advance

Rear sway bar end bushings are very common to need replacement after 20 years.

Sway bar link bushings. Pretty cheap OEM. I just got the whole thing today, aftermarket because mine are all feckered up.

Whoops, I got everything but what you were asking about. Yeah, sway bar end bushings. Carry on.

Is it just an illusion or is the link in the op bent?

I will check for the straightness of the bar and replace as necessary.

Thanks,

Steve

If anyone is still looking for part #'s, I'm getting ready to lift the :princess:'s 80 and plan to re replace all bushings while I'm at it, so I've been searching for the correct part numbers for front and rear bushings. Here's what I have so far:

Front Stabilizer bar bushings (x2) 48815-60070 $7.84/ea
Front Stabilizer bushing brackets (x2) 48823-60030 $5.01/ea
Rear Stabilizer bar bushing (x2) 48815-26020 $8.14/ea
Rear Stabilizer bushing brackets (x2) 48823-60030 $5.01/ea (same as front bracket)

Rear swaybar end bushings & link assembly:
