Looking for a bracket to mount some 5.25” speakers in the rear quarter. I could have sworn I saw a vendor here who makes them. Can anyone point me in a direction where I might find some? Otherwise, some home remedies would be welcome as well.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I intend on cloning the brackets that were in the 62 - they held the speakers in the cargo panels, supported them from behind. I figured 60 people might want them. That project is kind of 3rd or 4th on my list right now though. 😕

Hey when you get around to that project, can i suggest you add multiple bolt hole options? People like me used the oem fj62 brackets, but didnt use the fj62 grilles and had to "make it work" but if you are making new brackets from scratch, you can add normal speaker mount holes to it as well so you dont have to only use the fj62 grilles. Just a thought!

The grille part of the equation is going to be the touch part. A lot of speakers (most? All?) come with grills so I might just skip it all together. Not sure yet.

Oh no i mean like how you mount the actual speaker to the brackets. Most speakers use a standard template and i think the grilles do too, but the fj62 bracket is set up to use the oem speaker bolt pattern, not aftermarket

Yep, mine will be a standard bolt pattern - the main thing I’m solving for!
