Hi all,

My wife seems to have backed her FJ into my neighboors car and has damage on the rear left bumper section. Just the silver piece on the corner, no where else on the bumper. Looks like that piece alone is replaceable. Anyone know where to get a replacement online? or if I am right in thinking just that piece is replaceable? She is going to call Toyota, but I wanted to check with you guys to see if anyone else has gotten the part or done the replacement.

Thanks for any help,
Rage

I have popped mine off, as has the trail team. They pretty much pop on and off, and yes are replaceable. For good prices of online parts, try Toyota of Dallas, they do have pretty decent prices. If the corner is just scratched, paint it like I did.

Sorry just sold mine.....Got $30 cdn for all 3 silver pieces......Ask anyone who has a All-Pro rear bumper....those pieces are not used, but the rest of the bumper is hacked to use as trim.

blues dawg, that looks real nice. Gona have to tell my friend with a black FJ who hates those silver bumper ends to do this!

I posted another thread in here called "rear bumper mod" or "bumper mod", but I used a 2 stage duplicolor product I got at checker auto. First step was an "Adhesion Promoter" second was black "Bumper Coating". Holds up real well so far, even against a rock. I bounced off a rock last weekend and need to touch up, but nbd.

Cruiserdan!

any tips on how to pop off those pieces?

I bounced mine off a rock, it came almost completely off. It has tabs that hold it to the cover around it. Not sure how to take it completely off, but I would try compressing it till you see the tabs and pull the tabs away from the mounting. New ones should pop right in.

My method was bouncing it off a rock also. But if you want it to look nice, it's best to remove the whole bumper, and unclip it from the inside.

You have to pull off the bumper...some of the clips are really hard to get at....did it when I sold my pieces and replaced it with an All-Pro Offroad one...if you are going to keep doing that buy an All-Pro one........
