I recently removed rear heater. I need to connect the feed and return back together. I bought hose to connect the two, but it has a wicked bend in it when I tried to install it. Is that a problem?? I'm worried the hose will be crimped. Anybody have a solution for the tight bend??

Make a U shaped fitting out of pipe plumbing pieces from the hardware store?

You could explain what you need to your local parts person to see if they can find a pre-bent hose for some other application that would work for you. I did this to get a hose to go from the air cleaner to the valve cover for my PCV system. It worked out well.
Good luck

On my '79 I just blanked off (plugged) the 2 pipes where they are T'd off from the front heater. 29 years later and still no problems. I did the same with my '76 and there were no problems with it either. Front heater works just fine.

You don't need circulation through the lines, so no problem.

Not only do not need the circulation thru these lines you don't want it. It's easier for water to flow thru a by-pass loop then thru your front heater core. The heat you will get out of the front heater will be alot less with the lower flow. You might just check with Toyota and see if you can't just get the brass fittings that go thru the firewall that don't have the tee for the rear heater. I know Toyota made them because I have some. Not sure if it was was for all years or not but for some the rear heater was an option. Most of the cruiser I've owned that were from AZ didn't have the rear heater.
