I'm getting the rear hatch and door repainted.
Can the black (Toyota landcruiser) emblem in the middle of the hatch door be replaced?
Or can it be taken off and reattached?

Yes to both. To take it off, you can use a piece of dental floss to work the double sided tape attaching it to the hatch off. Be careful, though, they get very brittle with age.

Ok, might just buy another. Does CDan handle body pieces too?

I pulled mine off and it broke about halfway, didn't think of using floss though that's a good idea. But I'll attest to its brittleness... I just left it off since I've got the JDM license plate and it also says Land Cruiser, so I figured if you're behind me you get the idea, don't need to see Land Cruiser 2-3x.

On my '94, mine broke, so I pulled it off and cleaned up the area where it went. I actually think it looked better.

Mine broke in two and i am in the process of replacing it.....What is the best method to remove the old double sided tape? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Or replace them with 100 series emblems :D

3M makes a decal remover wheel. Its basically a big pencil eraser that you put in a drill. Its designed for removing pin stripes but works well on any residual glue or tape. NAPA carries them.

Those eraser wheels work awsome. I used one years ago to remove the factory stripes on an old 4runner. They pulled decals and adhesive right off and didn't damage the paint.

I was gonna pull off the emblem and just paint that area a shiny black. But the body shop managed to save all the stuff on the back gate.

That looks good. What do you have attached to your 4 bolt holes in the bumper?

Looks like a 7-pin trailer electrical harness plug to me. Nice if that's the case!

That is a 100 series emblem? Does it only come in that color?
