In my search for a 2017 plus LC, I am seeing several '17s with rear DVD systems.
I am not sure I actually want the sytems, since they seem to take up a fair amount of space , and with car seats
it would take up valuable space. And I am not sure how easy
they would be to replace, if needed. Can I just remove them from the seat backs, or will that look unfinished?
How often have people had issues with them, and if so, how easily were they fixed?
Any suggestions, or just get a newer one that does not have rear DVDs?
Thanks,
Mark

I’ve removed the screens (very much in the way and very antiquated use). I have the Trexxbox covers that dress everything up super nice. When I need rear entertainment I use iPads on headrest mounts. The factory screens get broken and are obscenely expensive. Don’t let their presence keep you from buying a ‘17 because alternatives (or no screens) are MUCH better.

Thank you. I was about to post a similar question. Can the rear seat DVD entertainment system easily removed, or is permanently mounted to the rear seat?
It's easy, pop off a plastic cover and remove the two 10mm bolts. Save the bolts they get reused.
Max 10 minutes per side

Plus a couple hours figuring out releasing the electrical connectors. :flush:
