I'm hoping someone can get me started on the right track. My 60 has a good amount of slop on the rear driveline. I can easily turn it back and forth with my hands, probably around 20-30 degrees. It's enough that I can hear it clank during hard shifting. Can someone tell me where to start on this?

Thanks,

Ray

Ray:

Sounds like it might be a u-joint. Do a search on Rear driveline slop.

On the bottom of the first page of the results, there is a thread on
rear driveline rattle. Dogboy2 has a pretty good list of suggestions.
Hope this helps.

Lets hope it's just ujoints because everything else will probably be more expensive.

I don't think it's a u-joint, the play extends into the rear differential.
