Rear door not locking?

I just discovered that my rear passenger door on my 97 LC is not locking. I have the factory alarm system installed and It seems to be working fine-locking all of the other doors exept this one. I tried the search feature but was unable to find anything related. Thanks in advance.

Interesting. Mine hasn't work for years. The same one. I decided I wasn't going to mess with it since it rarely gets used.

It is probably the actuator in that door. My left rear door is fickle at times, particularly when the weather gets very cold. I need to get around to replacing it.

My hatch does that. It's never worked.

my rear passenger doorlock doesnt lock either automatically. How much is a new actuator?

Right. On a 10-15 year old vehicle and it has nothing to do with safety.

Yup,

'97, Pass. rear door. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. We have to check it every time.

All others work fine.

My left rear door lock is "finicky". It worked when I bought the rig a few months ago. Then I noticed it wasn't locking when I armed the alarm, though all other doors were locking. When I locked it manually, it would unlock with all the all the other doors when I dis-armed the alarm.Now it's working again. All I've done is change the oil, filter, and front & rear brake pads. Go figure... Actuator, huh?
