Well, I need to replace my disintegrated rear crossmember and gussets. I found them at Cruiser Solutions. Does anyone else sell these parts? Was maybe looking for a vendor closer to me, but if they're the only ones, my order will go in tomorrow.

TIA

-Tim

I've got a 72 frame, rear section is in good condition, I can sell them to you if interested. located in central MT

Cruiser solution is the only one I know that sell them. I just bought a set myself. They look good and came real fast (7 days to California). I don't know if they fixed the add yet but the rear crossmember is not on sale. Where are you located? They sent me an extra crossmember for 74 that I have to return. If you are near San Francisco maybe you could just get this one and save shipping

nocents

Specter or any of the Western parts suppliers should be able to find you a nice clean used one. I fabbed my own gussets/braces (the two diagonal braces and the triangular gusset plates) out of "C" channel and some scrap steel plate, they're beefier than the stock ones and it didn't require any special tools or skills.

I see you made it over here too. No help from me tho :flipoff2:
I gotta swing by and take a look at your 40 sometime.

Later.
Mark.

Yeah Mark, swing by anytime (and bring a heater with you). I just need to get the damn tub off and I can really get started on stuff, but oddly enough all the bolts are impervious to liquid wrench. I guess I'll just start cutting them.

3_puppies, I might be interested in the crossmember and frame gussets you have. Would you mind emailing or PMing me pictures (if you can) and how much you'd like for them? My leaf spring gussets seem to be in pretty good shape, so I probably don't need those.

I'm located in St. Paul, MN BTW.

I gotta great tool for that. It's called a 3 foot freggin pipe! :D
LOL!

If'n you need help pulling the tub let me know. I know all about wrenching in the cold...no fun. Maybe if you are around next week I can swing by sometime.

Ordered those parts from Ted, good stuff and he's a good guy. The rear gussets and rear crossmember are no joke, quality welds on the gussets and all made from cold rolled steel.

I had the pleasure of Meeting Ted last year....swung in to check out the operation and look at that nasty brown 60 that is still for sale LOL (just really wanted the 8274 LOL!)

Very nice guy...products are VERY well made.
