Working on my rear cargo storage system. Plan is to put a 3/4 plywood base that can have different units attached to it.

Question - Does anybody know the distance between the bottom of the sheet metal cargo floor and the gas tank? I just want to put four nutserts into the floor to send the above plywood sheet . . . with out blowing myself up!!

Go underneath and drill from below around the edges of the tank. Should be enough room.
Or at least you make measurements. I might recommend drilling outside of the frame line or along
the frame line.

Good call but I need some bolts down the middle.

Underneath in front of the tank there is lots of room to drill up. Same from the
rear. measure the depth of the cross ribs, but the tank does come tight against
them from below

Great. Thank you! Given that I'll go slowly . . .
