I wanna throw in a rear bench seat instead of these side facing ones for the kids etc. And I was curious if anyone that’s done that conversion has found one that fits well and is a somewhat easy install.
I’ve seen the trailmax ones and I think there’s a bestop one that looks pretty good too.
I’m in the preliminary stages obviously. I’m gunna measure the back of the 40 and then read the measurements on the ads and go from there but was curious
If anyone has done this or knows someone who has that liked a particular one or any advice and suggestions.
Thank you

Just a generic aftermarket cj5 rear seat and a quick&easy mounting frame.

OK, so the trail max two does fit perfectly - 40 inches across the back which is the exact amount of tub space you have to work with so it literally fits like a glove. It’s the above section the full down section that goes out 42 section which isn’t a problem whatsoever.
My problem is I have the Corbeau front seat in tan vinyl and the trailmax 2 spice color which looks incredibly similar online and in person. It’s so close, but it doesn’t look the same because of the leather materials used, so I returned that and ordered the Corbeau safari seats which measures 30 inches across. It happens to sit perfectly in between the divots, so the drill points are perfectly in flat spots.

My question is this I don’t want the bench sheet to sit on the tub because people’s knees would be above their abs when they sat because there’s no level-down so to speak.

So I wanna get risers…I was looking at my risers for my Corbo front seats that I can buy online (pic below). I have them off bec I wanna clean em up and repaint now that I’m putting on nice new seats. Anyways noticed they could be some sort of a solution ORRR
does anyone know of a pre-fab-ed piece of metal I can use as a riser? I’m looking online and I don’t see any right away that would work as I’m thinking. So I’m thinking some sort of metal piece with holes I can put the original corbeau connections on top of to raise everything. Any ideas? Or take this to a metal fabricator and ask him?

But from the looks of the corbeau hardware they need two bolt holes and these risers (not meant for this anyways - only have one bolt holes respectively.
