Was the rear air suspension on the GX470’s an option or standard equipment?
I ran across a very much stock 2005 GX470 and there’s no air/suspension control panel. Just one of those small pockets. From talking to the owner, they didn’t have any idea. Of course, they’re not the original owners.
I haven’t taken a look in person. If I do, I’ll have to see if the compressor and air lines are still there.

IM 99.5% certain they all had air suspension in the back. That lil square box is an aftermarket add on when you remove/convert the rear air system and want to use that space.

All GX470’s had airbags. When they work, they work great. When they break they’re far more expensive than a conversion.

That console part is from a Prado methinks. Toyota part number 58839-60040.

By the way, a few people replace that factory console plate with more practical console plates from Bluedog Designwerks

You can turn that area into dual cup holders, or a cup holder with one switch opening, or auxbeam 6 or 8 switch plate, etc.

Just another option to the prado coin holder

Someone definitely ripped out the factory air springs. All years of 470 had air ride from the factory.

Options beyond colors were pretty limited.. off the top of my head anyways...

Nav, ML sound, third row, sport pack (kdss)
