Hi, I've read through most of the previous posts on this topics, and just want to clarify that I'm about to cut the correct AC lines to cap the rear AC (sprung a leak; don't need it anyway). TIA for the help.
Going with one of each of these:
- Dorman 800-996 3/4" O.D. Line Terminator Block Off Kit
- Dorman 800-994 5/16" O.D. Line Terminator Block Off Kit
And this tube cutter:
- RIDGID 32985 Model 104 Close Quarters Tubing Cutter, 3/16-inch to 15/16-inch Tube Cutter
And install similar to how Leandro did it here (Rear AC cap question - URGENT). This just involve cutting these tubes somewhere near this area (circled in red) and popping those terminators on?
Sorry for the rehash - just wanted to confirm before cutting the wrong AC lines and creating a bigger/$$ headache
It's crazy how much the actual repair is; but even to cap it the shop wanted $250.
Then it looks like without the rear AC, the R134a capacity is around 24oz, so I should be able to do this myself with a simple recharge kit?
