My 80 isnt startingl. Nothing was left on over night. The battery seems full because power will come in and out. When power does come in, if i got to turn it over it loses all power. right now i put the key in and turn it, i get no power at all. battery is 5 months old. any suggestions?

Use search? This same issue just came up less than two weeks ago.

Corrosion of the battery cables. A loose connection in the power harness. Old fusible links that need to be replaced.

What voltage do you have at the battery? What voltage do you have at the starter when you turn the key?

Did search, when it comes to electrical issues, there are thousands of variations and nothing was specific to my problem.

Anyhow, for anyone else that may run into this same problem, I replaced both batterry terminals with factory toyota ones and the truck started right up.

You may have solved your problem. In the future, do some basic diagnostic work and post as many details as possible. Remember, we can't see your truck. There are a host of reasons for starting issues. Without specific details, you leave forum members to jump to conclusions which could lead you down the wrong path.:bang: There is some great expertise on this forum but it is worthless without proper input.

tennesseejed,

Thanks for posting back up with the resolution. Very much appreciated, and happens way too seldom.

Cheers,

Curtis
