I trailered it down to CBT last Tues, getting a new pump & filter installed. I won't be able to pick it up until Fri, it should be a good test driving back home with it. We are planning on taking it to the PNW in about 3 weeks and I just didn't have the time to trouble shoot it and wait for it to die on me again, hopefully this will fix the problem...

Did the fuel pump test bad or did you just replace it?

I haven't heard back on it, I know they did take the fuse box apart to look for an open short on the underside and it was fine. I guess that's also a rare problem that can produce similar problems.

Well I picked it up today from Camelback Toyota, new fuel pump & filter installed. When I left the valley temp was about 103 so I knew it would be a good test, 150 miles and elevation gain over 6k feet. It never missed a beat, acceleration felt the same, wasn't like I picked up any lost power or anything. I do hope to see more than 160k miles out of this one though. Guess it is rare, maybe the PO had a bad habit of running on fumes everywhere...

Thanks again to the guys at CBT for outstanding work!
