Hey Guys,
so my external voltage regulator on hj61 fried up, and i had an internal VR alternator from an hj60 handy, so had my shop wire it to work. All they changed was the
connectors and a bracket. Got it back, and it works, except the voltage on the dash only reads normal{28 or so} when im cruising. at idle its a little low(24}
Is that normal? its 24 volt JDM, the Internal VR alternator is from a canadian hj60, no stamp on it.
Thanks!
Snaps

Did you follow a guide to modify the vehicle wiring to go from external to internal voltage regulation? If not, that's where to start.

Hi, yea the guys at my shop did it. Is there a set diagram that you go by when you change external to internal? I would think something would need to be bypassed or eliminated?

Have a seach on the site. It's a common modification but not one I would do to my vehicle, so I can't advise from experience.
