Hello, all! I am back. Never really went anywhere, just got kind of busy retiring and switching careers. Maybe now I'll make it to Social Security age.
The event that precipitated this un-ceremonious, much less triumphant return, is twofold:

1. Though my FJ40 is "for sale", I really don't think it'll sell for what I'm asking now with this wonderful bag' o sh**, oops, I mean, economic legacy we've been handed... sorry, I digress--

2. Just got my FCC technician license Friday and am awaiting a callsign and radio fever, all that-

The 40 looks really nice, ran great until I ran it totally outta gas in front of the house; now she won't idle, so that's a project for the next time I get time to work on it.

If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll tell you more. I may not make the next meeting as I'll be doing volunteer work in New Orleans again- this weekend I'm doing some training in community organizing that should be interesting and hopefully productive.

-Don't miss the gub-mint one-bit. The checks keep coming, but they're pretty small, and only once a month. But the health insurance is paid up.

Reply to my (own) message.

Need to edit that signature line. The Tundra no longer has permanent fault codes. Ryan E. and his intrepid guys at Malone found that two of the VSV:bounce: lines were switched around, and fixed some other stuff a few months ago. He was right about the tires, too- there's some really scary wear patterns developing on them

David, glad to see you are still alive and might be coming back. Problem is your handle. No 60 (RIP) and no 80. Keep the 40. You won't regret it.

Oh, and a piece of your 60 lives on in my 40.

good to see you have slowed down since retiring.:flipoff2:

you gotta make time to get back in with the club. we...I miss seeing you around.:D

It is also nice to see that you took your time writing you're re-introduction. Some of your older post were hard to comprehend!

It looks like the call signs from KF5KJN and up are available. O'Neill needs a vanity ... yes he does.
