Ratio of tire makes any difference? (1 Viewer)

I’m panning to change my tires from current 285/60 R18 which are 32” to 275/70R18 which are 33”.

I’m getting them just for looks.

Any downfalls and pros for having higher ratio, Or higher diameter of tire?

32" to 33" you won't see much at all, slight speedo and odometer error. Going up to like 35" you start talking about gearing, etc.

And there is information about gear ratios and stuff too. Problem is that this is general size and not all tire manufacturers are the same.

I went from a 265/70/16 Goodyear Wrangler 30.6” tire to a 265/75/16 Cooper ST Maxx 32” tire and my speedometer is more accurate now than before, no noticeable change in performance, wish I had gone to the 255/85/16 32.8” tire.
