The Ford Raptor style grills seem to be all the rage lately on the Tacoma/4Runner sites. Anybody ever done this on an 80? Seems like it'd be easy to do, kinda like the Satoshi style grills. The only hard part would be finding a mesh in the right contour for an 80, since it has a raised portion.

Who's gonna step up and make the mesh - Shane??? :)

I really like this mesh, no raised portion. Anybody know where to find this one?

Or "expanded metal". That's what the Setoshi grills are. It's actually cheaper in my experience than perforated metal too.

That grille is woven wire mesh/wire cloth. Not available in stainless to my knowledge.

Expansion is another animal. I use it for reproduction 79-84 40 series grilles.

Have you seen the TRD PRO grilles? Maybe wait a while and order one for donor parts?
Order two and have an extra for your 4Runner!

Those are bad ass! Not sure about the others, but on the 4Runner the center bar is molded into the bumper. I'd need a whole new front bumper to have the TRD Pro look

I prefer the OEM look.

How the hell is any company going to make an offroad bumper for those 4runner's??

Shrockworks already did, but it's gross IMO. All they did was take their bulky 2010~2013 bumper and add filler plates under the headlights. Needs more than a simple boxed plate bumper to look good.

Looks OK but not quite right. Better than OEM though. IMO

I believe it is actually 2 separate pieces. We don't typically make two-tone parts.
Give me some time and I'll see if I can find out for sure.
The big question is: is it available as a service part?
That black pickup at the top.... What model is that?
That looks like a Sport Package Taco with some aftermarket flares and some other custom work.

I'd like to make the mesh grille and add this to the center...

@Hitit66 Are these available again yet?

Shane...the Satoshi grille material is "shaker screen" woven wire. Your local rock quarry will have rusty used pieces laying around in 3/8" mesh, 1/2" mesh, 3/4" mesh and so on. Stainless should be available. Used in food processing (nuts) where only stainless will pass health inspection.
