You know what you should do???
You need to send letters to Glenn Beck, RTech Fab, lady built customs and the guys at EMP Shield and inform them that you have worked at a shop in Chico California for 20 something years and they are doing it all wrong..
You know who else would appreciate your 20 years worth of knowledge on all things related to everything is @Devils Paw 80 .. The two of you can start a group chat and pump each other about all the faults on the Beck Pig!!!

You dont know me, you don't know what I have done and seen in my life.
As a point of fact I design and build vacuum tube electronics from scratch.
Im not going to claim to know everything but I do know this:
A Faraday cage must be a low impedance low resistance path to earth.
If your Faraday cage doesn't have a earth rod beat into the soil, its not a functional Faraday cage its a JC Whitney gimmick.

I once had a instructor at diesel college who raced go-ped 22cc scooters.
Why?
Because anything you ever wanted is available to build a small block (or Ls or cummins) to whatever horsepower your wallet will allow.
No challenge whatsoever.
That in my opinion is boring and only serves to prove how much money you can squander.
Now...
Set forth to Triple the horsepower of a 22cc Zenoah Komatsu with no aftermarket support, and thats a challenge.
He built a custom nozzle and applied what they call a wet nitrous system to these engines, amongst dozens of other mods and tweaks...

As 55 owners we have almost no aftermarket support so the rigs can be a testament to the owners creativity and skill level at making weird stuff work.
Or you can pull out your platinum card and spend 100k at summit on chinesium and be the coolest guy on Instagram for a day...

I prefer to see the artistry of those with limited funds over the purchasing power of a platinum card.

Any steel bodied car is a faraday cage. That’s why golf carts get struck by lightning and cars don’t.

So what have you found to argue about now? Sorry, I can't keep up with keyboard warriors.
Anyone in this group gonna bid on the Beck pig?

I think he's talking about me

Having to read one cringy response after another of someone trying to justify why they even type a post to begin with.
What’s your excuse?
I don’t entirely understand this word salad. As previously stated, I usually respond to comments directed
my way. If someone doesn’t want me to respond then they should quit quoting or otherwise notifying me. If nothing else it’s been interesting to see which members are respectful of others, or not, in this thread.

Respectfully - when you come down here and make comments like above you are asking for an equally disrespectful reply from one of us..
I've yet to see anything you've built or any constructive comments down here in the sty so it appears you are bored and just trolling around mudd looking for somebody to engage with..

Maybe I missed it somewhere, based on the build what’s something like this reasonably worth?

Not looking for whatever someone will pay or the cost to build, based on what it has what’s it worth?

Is that north of $100,000 or possibly $150,000?

Asking for a friend!!

I don’t see bids going that high in the last 21 hours left, large gap to close that spread from current bid.

Has some cool features for sure.

Been a few years but remember another pig for sale with Cummins prior to the 2.8. Kim said no way that was going to happen, than fate stepped in and it didn’t happen!

It's got 50k in good usable parts for a guy that likes the interior color, full width axles etc....
I'm personally kind of stalled out at just under 40k or whatever my last bid was. If I didn't have so many other projects going I would be closer to 70k all in and build something cool to drive for a couple years then sell and try to recoup some of my money back .

Jon, in my opinion, it's only worth what someone will pay for it unless it has parts that are immediately fungible (aka liquid) with a known market value. Like if it had a 1 kg gold bar taped to the seat. We can all guess what it would part out at but that's all subjective until you actually do it. I suppose you could argue that a certified appraiser should be able to give it a value but I certainly wouldn't want to have that job. I think such a bespoke (one off) build like this one probably goes for cents on the dollar more often than not. Of course in an auction setting you only need two interested parties to make it "worth" a lot. It will be interesting to see where it ends.

Sorry! 66 times
It's up to you now Bob..
I'm catching a red eye to Florida and I'll be on a plane when this auction ends, I just placed my last bid but I don't believe it's going to get it done.
Get this thing bought and bring it to Idaho then we'll make it cool!

Risk would be far greater telling my wife as I’m sure many here would be in same spot.

My bid would have been around $40,000 earlier! Only cause that’s what I could afford.
