Spotted this GCC 76 (complete with stripes) entering Prague yesterday.
I think that forklift has a 2L-T in it - almost a Landcruiser
Anyone know if these Toyo's are available in the USA and what is the name of this tire? They look awesome. I have BJ that will be used mostly on the beach and these tires would be great.
This is a classic tire design from Michelin , XS .
But also Dunlop and Yokohama did the same design .
They were made especially for the petrol companies exploring North African Sahara region in late 60 .
The special construction allow the tire to deflate down to 0,5 bar .
But the tire has a very flexible side wall , just 1 thread !
So good in the sand , but you absolutely must re inflate the tire on gravel or rocks .
Tire make high noise on tar .
But on sand it is super .

Those 80 series steelies look great on your truck. Nice aggressive offset without being cheesy and the oem look (pert near is)
*perhaps offset is the wrong term- aggressive extra width over 70 series steelies
These are 16x8 with 4.5 inches of backspace. In order to run them on the 74 I used 1.5 inch Spidertrax spacers. One inch would be ideal but those do not exist.
