  • Nightshadow Pearl (dark blue) with black Rhino-liner on the bottom half and fender flares.
  • Daily driver to work, starts every time.
  • Owned since 2010. Maintenance & repair records from 2015 to present
  • The frame is rust free (lived in NC, SC, GA, and AZ most of its life). There is a small spot of surface rust the size of a silver dollar on the hood and a small spot on the driver side rear door, the size of a dime. Otherwise, the body is rust free.
  • No Check Engine Light or codes. Consistently passed emissions in the last 3 states I’ve registered in (I haven’t tested it in North Carolina yet).
  • Maintained with mostly Toyota OEM parts, on critical parts and wherever possible
  • Grey leather seats. Typical cracks in the leather found on Land Cruisers of this age.
  • Marathon seat covers on Front seats
  • Locking Center Differential (no FR & RR lockers).
  • Regular oil changes with quality oil (Shell Rotella, Mobil1) and premium oil filters (Toyota, Mobil, PureOne).
  • Pioneer stereo with Bluetooth, Pioneer speakers (only front speakers work)
  • 35" tires (BFG KO2 315/75/R16), 25,000 miles on the tires. I did not regear when I installed 35’s. It still has the original factory gear ratios.
Notable Modifications
  • Old Man Emu lift
  • ARB front bumper (winch ready)
  • Slee caster correction kit installed
  • Slee front swaybar drop blocks installed
  • 7 Pin Modification for locking Center Diff Lock in High
  • Pesky Heater Hose (PHH) replaced with Gates hose kit
  • rear heater bypassed
  • 3rd Row seats removed and not available.
  • Push button start, to bypass the key switch for starting

Issues
I’ll tell you everything I can think of from the 15 years of owning this Land Cruiser. I kept records for the last 10 years.
  • Birfields click when turning, passenger side birf leaking grease slightly
  • Consumes oil. Never had the head off and it doesn’t consume coolant.
  • small oil weep from the oil pan gasket
  • Rear door, driver side, leaked rainwater onto the inner door panel at one time, so there is water damage on the inside of that panel.
  • rear door, driver side power lock no longer works. It must be locked/unlocked manually from the inside
  • power antenna replaced with an aftermarket fixed antenna.
  • paint clearcoat is peeling off the hood and roof
  • driver side mirror does not fold in (epoxied in place)
  • drivers door interior window trim missing
  • Heater blows warm, not hot, in the winter
  • AC blows cool, not freezing, in the summer
  • slight trail damage on the passenger side rear door and fender flare
  • Trail damage on the passenger side rear quarter panel (repaired by the previous owner)
  • Airbags disabled (Red light came on, pulled the fuse, didn’t troubleshoot any further)
Work done in the last 12 months
  • New battery (Duralast Gold)
  • New front brake rotors and pads (Toyota OEM)
  • New rear brake pads (Toyota OEM)
  • New power steering pump inlet hose (Toyota OEM)
  • Resealed Power Steering pump rear seal (Toyota OEM seal kit)
  • New Transmission oil cooler hoses (Toyota OEM)
  • New steering Tie Rod Ends (555’s)
In general, this Land Cruiser is mechanically sound and is driven to work on the weekdays. It starts every time and just runs without a problem. The wear on the interior is consistent for a 30 year vehicle that has seen the sun and weather. It has never overheated despite living in the Southeast and Arizona. My kids have all driven this through their high school years so I always made sure brakes, steering, and the overall reliability of the vehicle was at its best. Despite its appearance, it has seen mostly pavement these recent years as a commuter vehicle to work or school. Included in the sale is a 48” Hi-Lift Jack. I need to downsize my fleet of Toyotas, which is unfortunately why I’m selling this one.

I’m in the Raleigh area of North Carolina.
No trades. I’ll take cash or Paypal.
