Just after reinstalling the 2F radiator in my '86 60, I realized there are some pin hole leaks so it needs to be replaced. I am thinking about getting a new 62 radiator and using the trans cooler part of it for my power steering. I am also running a contour e-fan. I have never had the two radiators side by side, so my question is will a 62 rad bolt into a 60? If the inlet/outlet ports and mounting is the same, I can get it to work. Pics would be GREAT!

EDIT: just to clarify, I realize the inlet/outlet ports won't be exactly the same, but if they are close I can probably get it work. I am looking for it to just bolt in though, if possible...

I have a Davis 62 radiator in my '84 60 (with a 5.7 Vortec) - matches up fine. The trans section would be overkill for the PS, but big deal. Contour fan should fit same as now.

Did you use a OEM Ford fan setup or aftermarket? No one can tell me if a Dorman has the Bosch motors or not (I prefer them but the OEM is big $).

i was thinking of teh same to add extra fluid capacity with the ram assist. if not i will just get a cooler and that should add enough.

Thanks for the info. Are the inlet/outlet ports pretty close to the same?

I found an OEM ford fan from a wrecked v6 contour in a scrap yard for $50. Check out my build thread (link in sig) for installation details

Works just fine. I have a power steering cooler also works great when you are giving your steering a workout in the rocks;)

This is nice to know, I thought the mounting brackets were different. Now I won't junk the 3FE radiator I've got, I'll get it worked, plumb it for PS and through it in!
