Radiator update re Koyo C1917

I got my Koyo C1917 from the alternate vendor listed. The thing is a piece of art. The CSF 2517 was crude in comparison.

Someone mentioned Koyo's being " plastic " - nope. I had it out of the box and should have taken a photograph. Maybe the A1918, but not the C1917.

Anyway - the Koyo C1917 seems to be the radiator to have.

This is good to hear. I just pulled my radiator out and it is indeed the CSF. Been doing lots of research and thought I was going to go with OEM, but there have also been many that have been happy with the Koyo..

Still undecided, but its always good to hear another is happy with one of the choices I am looking at..

I'm very $ conscious these days. A Koyo C1917 for $344.14 shipped. I couldn't even consider an OEM unit. It really is sleek. I can't wait to get it in. The radiator.

1917s are usually aluminum with plastic tanks. Spartan, is your C1917 all metal?

C1917 is Copper core 3 rows and the A1918 is aluminum core 2 rows. I don't know if the factory radiator is copper or aluminum but I went with the aluminum 1918 and is working great a year later.

I tried a magnet test on the tank and it failed so I am assuming it is a plastic tank. It appeared to be a metal tank on first inspection, but I guess not. Looks like metal - sounds like plastic. It also has the crimp like an OEM unit. I was wrong.

I am still very happy with the product. I will post photos when I pull it back out for install. Similar specs - if not the same as a 94 three row copper core OEM unit at about 1/2 the price so I'm good. Nice warranty as well

My C1917 has plastic tanks just like the OEM. OEM lasted 17 years, so I'm not concerned about it.
