With all of the chevy's running around, someone must have documented the part numbers for radiator hoses that fit to the factory Fj40 radiator... This has been the "needle in a haystack" part of my other engine swaps, hoping that this time i will have part numbers to shop for.

Anyone...

I just bent a coathanger and went to the autodroid store and stared digging through the hoses till I found one that worked. I ended up cutting the middle section out of a long hose with the bends I needed.

x2, just get your diameter measurments and a rough idea of what shape you need and go to autozone.....i used a universal flexible hose on the top hose

What style of 350 do you have...Old school carb, TBI, TPI, Vortec, might help you get some more useful info. I think there might be some numbers in the FAQ on engine swaps?

ON my 60 i ended up having the radiator modified... currently I use a top hose from a 99 GM truck with 5.7 vortec and I think I'm going to need to use one of those "generic "fit-all" type hoses for the lower radiator hose. Right now I have a low hose my freind came up with...during our last modificaiton to the radiator.

You might want to see if you have different diameter hose fittings from the GM water neck / water pump to the fittings on the radiator. I htink on teh vortec the hose is 1.25 and the radiator is 1.5 at the top. I think at the bottom the sizes are the same...at least on the 60.

Far from hard core.

From the W I K I <---- this is a link

The WIKI link is located at the very top of your page.

Read the front page/scroll down, you will see your info.

"61296" on the label, also "AU 354 05 B" on the hose.
Made in Mexico.

Don't know if the numbers will help.
Trimmed stock Fj40 hoses on bottom.

I once read 1974 Chevrolet pickup hose would work on top... These days the parts guys couldn't make that work.

NAPA parts #s

For my FJ55, NAPA numbers 7344 (top) and 7240 (bottom).just installed 'em a few weeks ago in my project taking 2 1/2 pigs and making one. Had to trim the top one a bit...can't remember about the bottom. Clamped 'em tight and they look like they, the redone stock radiator and the '74 350 were one of the factory's better ideas.

Sorry, got the numbers reversed top and bottom. Top is NAPA 7240, bottom is NAPA 7344.
