My wife's LC has had a small leak in the top of the radiator since we bought it. It's small and hasn't caused a problem yet but I get tired of adding a gallon about every 3 weeks however at $450 I have resigned myself to this practice. The leak is where the metal crimps to the plastic top so I don't think it can be fixed. Is there a good aftermarket radiator that is as good as or better than OME and cost less.

Get an OME one, they last longer and cool better. Get it from beno or CDan and you'll pay less than retail.

Old Man Emu now makes radiators? :)

Edit - yeah, OEM.

Yeah kinda new here, not having any luck finding these companies. Anyone have any experience with radiator barn?

And to the guy from toyota, thanks but I can do better than that my brothers a mechanic, I just refuse to pay $440 for a radiator. I can buy a lot of coolant for that price.

You can go with a Koyo radiator at about $212. It won't be as good as OEM but maybe it's what you are looking for.

No worries. I was just giving you an option.

Good luck!

You'll also be buying more radiators vs. the life span of an OEM one.

You may have a point there, however my wife's LC has over 200k on the first radiator, if it last half as long I'm sure there will be bigger expenses before I need to replace it. I love that truck and would love to see it go 500k, but it is all stock and beat up pretty well from trail running. So if I get a chance to get a cleaner one for the wife it will be mine and then I can start to really worry about the performance gear. I've had mixed luck with aftermarket radiators but radiator barn offers a warranty. I've found that if there is a problem it tends to show up pretty soon after being installed.

And once again, not trying to make any enemies here but I can get a factory Toyota radiator at deal cost, but it's still to much for me right now to spend.
