Shane has this listed on Ebay for FJ25's. Anyone seen an original one on their radiator? Where was it?

I'll check my junk, but I think all I have ever seen is numbers stamped into the top tank...

I doubt it. I have the sticker on my 66 rad. My 64 doesn't have that sticker but does have the mt fuji stamped in it on the top tank where as the 66 doesn't.

Most of my early radiators have the circular logo embossed in the top tank, not a sticker. While I do remember 'some' of the later radiators having the Toyo branding, I can't remember offhand if it was screened onto the tank, or stickered.

Guess I've got to make another trip to the storage building. Now what else was I going there for?

This 1978 FJ40 was the nicest one I have ever had the chance touching and the pleasure to make new again. It had the Original decal and I and another Orginal one from a new radiator. Here are the pics.

The radiator was the original one that came in the truck and I did not wax or paint it an any way.

I reread the statement, I don't know what years they came on, I do know I have seen only a few and they were early and late. But I hope one will have the correct info needed in print or in fact have an original.

Also the original were numbered for some reason, might be warranty? The original I have that was new is numbered 811 and the was loaned to me by a mud member. The one in the 78 was 8 digit number.

Best,
Shane

Here's a pic of the embossed logo on the top tank of the radiator in the swb:

Ditto on Mark's pic, no sticker but the stamped symbol for the 25. I'm guessing the tag on the right side of the pic could be a rebuilders tag none of mine have had that.

i remember reading somewere toyota changed radiator manufacturing in late 64...and used the new design sometime in early 65. but i recall a diff stamp on 65's only then they went to sticker sometime after as a cost saver and time saver in manufacturing. don't have any doc about this ...just from memory. :)

i think the sticker came out in 68 actually...your 66 probably had the radiator replaced?

It's the original that I took a picture of from the 78 above.

:D :D But we expect perfection in your originals as well as your repros! :D :D

Anything is possible but the cruiser was fairly original (down to hub caps), engine wise there was nothing I could see that wasn't 66 vintage.
