Trying to confirm that my trans is in fact an R151F before I search for a new section of casing to replace the broken piece as shown in photo. I have looked, but can not see a number stamped anywhere on the casing. Can anyone please help me conclusively identify this trans? The actual broken part is the surrounding housing (aluminum casting as part of the casing) for the output shaft bearing in the section of the trans where the shifter is. Because it is cast as part of the casing, this section of the casing must be replaced. Also, if anyone can sell me this part or point me to the best source for a replacement it would be appreciated. Thank you for any info you can provide.

If the transmission is out of your 2003 HZJ78, then it will be an R151F.

Any Toyota dealer can get you the parts you need.

Thanks, it is out of my 2003 HZJ78, but I am the third owner and thought there is a chance someone before me could have changed it. It's unlikely, but possible, so am acting with an abundance of caution.

Definitely looks like the inside of an R151f transfer adapter. If so, the part number is 36107-60040.
