I was rebuilding my R151F (from 1986 22RET) and while pressing bearings/gears off, I broke a piece off the ring towards the back half of the output shaft. The Part looks like this looks like this:

Does anyone know if this is early R151F specific or if I could pull it out of any R series transmission? 3332135140, I think is the part number. It is showing replaced by 3332135141. It looks like it can be bought for $200 internationally but do the R150F and other R-series share the same part? If so I could probably get it for next to nothing from a junk transmission. I see a lot of cross-reference vehicles under those part numbers but could anyone familiar with these transmissions confirm?

r151f , has a nut holding on 5th gear . 33421-35130 sub to a 33421-60161, subs to a 33421-60162 which now is the updated final part number that does not use the nut to hold on 5th .. but takes a different 5th gear set . . r151f turbo first gear is lower so yes that shaft is a turbo only shaft . ( broke one myself in the past ) for the lower , if this helps you , dont know on the upper shaft

The superseeded one should be backwards compatible across all R151 applications. I just bought a new one for a R151 I rebuilt. I have the one that came out if you want to buy it for $30 plus shipping? It could go out tomorrow.

I can also sell you all the stuff for the R452 5th gear upgrade if you are willing to wait a bit.

Good deal. I'll pm you. Would the R452 5th work with the old nut retained version?

Toyota R series gearbox - R150 / R151 - R452 Dyna 5th... - https://www.pirate4x4.com/threads/toyota-r-series-gearbox-r150-r151-r452-dyna-5th-gear-swap.2000978/

I was reading this thread and thought it was done for the pre-96.

According to that thread I guess not. Those parts prices are little out of date as well. I just did this one a 1999 4runner,I replaced all internal parts, input, output and counter shafts, all gears, selectors, etc. since I was ordering the R452 stuff anyways. I reused one or two hubs I think.
You could probably swap the later counter shaft in? At that point probably makes a lot more sense to start with the later transmission for most folks
