Coming up soon to replace tires, wanted to get some advice which of the following are quietest based on your experience. I don't off road much and no rock crawling. Occasional mount terrain and sand gravel and some snow at most. 285/75/R16. Don't prefer Michelin defender since it's not aggressive of pattern and wearability.
Narrowed down to these four :
Ridge Grappler
Falken Wild Peak AT 4W
Toyo Open country AT3
Goodyear Duratrac

Really detailed reviews and assessments of tires, allowing you to gauge what matters to you most. Everything with tires is compromises, so you have to be honest about your use-case… or at least of the owner you want to pretend to be! I churn lots of highway miles in winter/ mountains, so found best in snow coverage that wasn’t too heavy, and put them on SCS 18lb wheels!

I’ve had AT4W’s for about 9 months. Not a ton of mileage on them yet, but I’ve been very happy with their performance. Noise level is quite low and much quieter than my old KO2’s.

I have run several sets of Toyo Open Country AT and MT both. I really like these tires, as they are long-wearing and sturdy (not prone to flats or tearing sidewalls), but they are not particularly quiet. The Cooper AT's I have one one truck now are more quiet than the Toyo AT's. The others on your list I have no experience with.

I propose to give my opinion about a tire that's not on your list.

After +/- 11,000 miles, my Cooper AT3 xlt still is one of the quietest AT tires I've ever owned.

Locally, they are regularly on special at 20% and once or twice a year at 25%. Not insignificant for a quality tire.

I am also having a good experience with cooper at3’s on my tuck and highly recommend them. Quiet and good traction. They didn’t come in the size I wanted for my cruiser so I got toyo atIII’s for it. I also like those and would recommend.

I'm SUPER curious and interested in these new Nitto Terra Grappler G3s. Esp for 2-3 overlanding trips a year but otherwise racking up miles on pavement. My Ridge Grapplers have 60k on them, they are getting rougher and louder as usual.
