i'm a bit perplexed. Whenever the outside temp indicator is reading in the 70 degree range, i can selectvthe a/c and it blows cold. But when the outside temp reads about 64 or lower, I cannot get the A/C to blow cold even on Low temp setting and auto is off. Any advice?

With auto ON...it should always blow full blast if set to low. Not sure that will work if auto is off...but have you checked to see if you can blow full blast set to low with auto actually ON?

Today the outside temp show 75 when I turn on auto I have it set to low but it is blowing warm air. I cannot make it cool down. When I push the AC option on the screen it doesn't seem to change my rpm so now I'm not sure compressor is even coming on

Have you checked the fuse for the compressor?

Does the rear AC come on? It has its own compressor...

yeah the rear comes on but also blows warm air. It was on yesterday, when I left downtown about 7:30 Pm it worked all the way home. But now when I can really use it it's not working. Well so I looked at the manual but was unsure which fuse is the compressor fuse. It does not seem to say.

In my manual, I see several A/C related fuses, including a 50A fuse in slot 5 in the engine bay fuse box. Also a 25A in slot 6, another 25A in slot 15 and another 50A in slot 18. Finally a 7.5A in slot 63.

Yeah I saw that. I guess I just need to check them all? And hope that it is a blown fuse.

Might be time to suck it up and bring her to a dealer ... :hmm:

So here's a quick question if there is no Freon or if the Freon leaked out mostly will that prevent the compressor from coming on? I heard that's how the 100s series operates

So this is just kind of frustrating. Because the printout from the dealer showed in June 14 this year it had "Complete, evacuate, reclaim & recharge A/C system W/ R134 Freon" And the seller said the dealer said there were no leaks. And now the dealer in VA is saying there may be a leak. I would have probably offered a different price to purchase the rig if I knew there may be AC issues. I just went through a nightmare trying to get the wifes MDX AC back up and running properly. New Compressor, switch. lines etc... Really do not want to have to deal with all this- and it's almost 80 degrees here on top of that. Well I called Toyota Corp. so we will see if the Autonation here does anything - If it's just a leaky fitting on a line that has to be replaced then no biggie, but man I just hope it isn't going to end up costing several hours to track down like that MDX

Toyota went ahead and waived the $90 diagnostic fee for me. That's pretty cool of them. So we'll see what they say after Tuesday.

Well, that is odd. They said at the dealer they could not find any leaks at all. They said there was some pretty good corrosion underneath, and perhaps a line has had corrosion create a problem, but they cannot see any dye. They said the pressure was low though. They are going to evacuate and recharge the system again, and see what happens. If it happens again, maybe in May of 2017 perhaps they will be able to see some dye or something?

Thoughts?
