I recently bought my 1972 Fj40 and me a nd my brother gutted the inside and found that the driver side floor had been replaced by ribeted aluminum. We took that out only to find that there is no floor, it is totally gone from the front angled peice to the back where the mid bed bump up is. This pisses me off because I dont think the new retail floor pans cover this far. What should I do? thanks.

Two words - MIG welder. ;)

It depends on how much you want it to look stock. It's a pretty easy area to bend and install sheet metal, but if you want the correct ribs, you'll have to find an aftermarket supplier or have it bent.

I'm sure Eshan could do it. :D

My floor is riveted aluminum aswell and I am going be replacing it with 1/4 inch plate to match the back half of my tub bed and inner fenders that are already done with 1/4 inch plate and the quarters are 1/8 galvanized sheet

it should be pretty tuff

pretty much like having a loggers box or something

also gives a bit of rear end wieght

even 1/8 plate is better than stock metal
