Fair enough.
However, the only reason I used that term is because his YouTube channel is called "4XOverland".
For what he uses his current Troop Carrier for, a Sprinter will do just fine., if not will be better suited.
For what you or I use our vehicles for, perhaps not.
Ya, my impression is his main thing involves cover a LOT of “land@ rather than full articulation wheeling.
Oh I agree with both of you, for his style of "off-road" travel, the Sprinter will certainly fit the bill. And I'm not offended by the word overland because he uses it as his channel name, more or less just the general use of it and what it embodies now due mostly in part to social media celebrities and shills and it's recent boom in popularity. Overlanding is now fashionable and marketable to the masses.
When I started going off-road with 4x4 clubs back in 1999/2000 it was simply "off-roading" or "rock crawling" and at times we camped over night as well. While there were certainly products marketed towards the off-road community back then, it was nothing like it is now and while I appreciate the growth and availability of these products that are due to the recent popularity of the off-road travel trend, inevitably it has brought negative images and personas with it as well. That is to be expected, but for some reason I find myself more annoyed by the masses than I ever thought I would be, I guess I am just getting old and cranky lol.
