Look who's talking...

not much left. Just need to figure out how to connect a vss. Thinking I'm going to tap into the abs sensor and use that.

Wiring is basically done and I'd say, 2 hours left and it should run and drive.

Why not just get the AA to np203 adapter with the VSS set up? That is if your NP203 is still able to mount to that adapter.

trying to save $500 as well as having to redesign my crossmember and possibly having to have the driveshaft length changed again.

Get that exhaust sorted out for actual clearance?

gotta get the truck running, then I'm going to drive it over to the exhaust shop. this vss thing put a wrench in my gears... no pun intended.

No breakage?

So I thought I made it through the April 28th trip to the Badlands without any damage besides my 3rd brake light. I took the truck to Exhaust Works in Naperville to have them fix the location of my y-pipe so I can mount my skid plate w/o spacers and regain almost 2 inches of ground clearance. When it was up on the lift I noticed something a little funky.

No vibrations but I think I'll get a new one made before the trip to South Dakota.

good catch! You WILL candy cane that thing if you don't fix it. Ask the drive shaft shop if they will do .090 wall tubing. I know drivelines unlimited in lyons will.

Good call on getting that skid plate up!

I called Drivelines Unlimited. I am going to bring it by their facility on Monday and get a new one built.

Now we got a guy who DRIVES a 40, WHEELS it, and DRIVES HOME with a mangled driveshaft.

That is definitely a honey badger among 40 owners.

He was pimping it around diaperville Saturday morning too. Unlike some other newb 40 owners I know.

Whos that?

Btw, despite only having one rear brake, no title, no plates, and a lame battery, ive put about 60 miles on the 40 in 8 days and i was out of town for 5 of them.

Towing it around on a trailer doesn't count...
