Btw, despite only having one rear brake, no title, no plates, and a lame battery, ive put about 60 miles on the 40 in 8 days and i was out of town for 5 of them.

Try Broadway Title and see what they want to get you a title. I know a lot of people in the Willys Jeep world have used them.

So the UPS lady, who seemed deathly afraid of my dog, dropped these off today. Now get to hone my welding skills as I patch the bottoms.

The brakes have air in the lines, and i ran out of brake fluid. Ill be working on it tomorrow and sat morning.

If you need some drum brake parts I know where some are, well not exactly where but at least which garage they are in. I have fronts from the hubs out with birfs, and maybe two sets of rears. The price is really sweet. It all came off of a 73 that looked a lot like yours before my "drive by brail" afliction took hold.

Drums on crusahs are not self adjusting. I bet you just have to turn the adjusters a little.

Good luck with that, it seemed that one adjuster on each wheel would be stuck on mine. So I would wear down one pad while the other looked new.

Some guy in TN has just posted a bunch of 40 parts in the classifieds. They include what look like a new set of 8 brake shoes in case adjusting yours isn't enough to get them working properly.
