Where's Tony?

We don't believe in toning down, its dishonest, and it just invites future toning down.

But i seriously don't know where this reputation of ours came from. I never thought we were all that bad.

I think it came from the time Woody brought Lexi to CTJ.

Got to work....Its still in one piece! So I know I can get groceries and cruise the mall for high school chicks, perfect.

Once I get home Ill put it in low low low and romp on it. At this point I'm concerned about the diff cover that I'm welded to. They aren't as thick as most people think. I don't want to rip the welds out of it, and I also don't want to deform it, I may just brace it up to the housing tubes with some DOM, as I originally planned.

Why not just extend the plate to the top and bottom of the housing and make it a housing cover protector too?

As I sat on the "throne" and thumb typed that response, a few instances popped in my head, that one didn't go un-recalled. But it is a perfect example of why honesty IS the best policy! If we were dishonest and "polite", the next thing we would know, there would be children and "wives" running around all over camp.... Woody evaluated our honesty and made a decision.

It also probably did not help that he did set up a tent 20 ft from the social center of camp. Canvas doesn't block much sound.

The "plate"? I assume you mean the 2 outer plates/3/8" mounts. They do wrap over the top of the housing and are welded to the top with about 2 inches of weld inside and out. I did not go to the bottom of the housing for ground clearance reasons. Plus the housing is rotated up. So the mounts would really have to hang down there.

I continue to underestimate the force of axle wrap. I destroyed a bar a few years ago. It doesn't help that my design wants to rip itself apart. Whereas a traditional bar wants to force itself together.

He looks like if you and Mark had a child....am I the only one?

"Where is Tony"? Good question. I don't know the answer, he has been ignoring me for months. I don't think he likes me anymore.... Or maybe, like in the timeless classic movie about life: Harry and the Henderson's, he is pushing me away for our own good. Perhaps he feels as if he can't be there for me anymore, and doesn't want me to get hurt waiting for him....

Or I'm just a dick.

Man you guys pick the wrong [or right] weekends for your runs! I will be wheeling in Wellswille OH the 27th thru the 29th.

Maybe I will see some of you at the jambo since thats the only time our schedules seem to mesh...although I here alot of ill talk of the jambo from yall lately...

I dont think there is going to be a Jambo this year?

I have no clue. I am thinking about maybe a fall run. It all depends on how much people miss ctj. I dont think I will know that until the week before, when I get people wondering when it is...

Or someone else can put it on.

I'm going to the chicago jeep jambo.

You need to pre register and start saving your money. Practice pin the tail on the donkey around the camp fire.

It turns out my son will not be tagging along, so false alarm. I forgot he has to work on Saturday evening. Maybe he'll come on a later trip. I am still in.

I got a student who discovered the cliffs. His truck has been in the shop constantly since. I'm just loving cliffs mud all over my shop again, not to mention the pleasant sensation of cliffs mud falling in my eyes.

I'm not sure he's ever been far enough down 1 to get into the woods.

While I was no fan of the hillbilly shenanigans at Badlands, it sure was nice to be that close to the park.

shorter tow to camp....

figure out the short-shaft issue? link loose? trans/motor mounts shift? or ?

curious to the diagnosis...stuff most certainly shifts around...

ie: Jon's trans mounts...I was SURE something was broke on Crows Nest...

Yeah, I was in double low on that shelf. Just a lot of twist. My engine mounts are chained down, but I should re-check them.

Speaking of double low. Yesterday I put the truck in 2wd, low, low, and mashed the brake and throttled up to about 1500 rpm. It was enough to lift the rear end up 10 inches and spin the rear tires. The anti-wrap didn't break. So now I am able to park in front of the mall entrance and do .0006 mph burn outs, high school chicks love that.
