This isn't an off road trailer but a 6x12 ft trailer. I'm replacing the boards on it. It was missing boards and most were warped. How much spacing should I put between each board? The trailer is 75 1/2 inches wide, if I use 9 8x12 boards that leaves me 3 inches for spacing. That seems like big gaps when divided between the boards.
Any thoughts on butting the boards up to each other and not putting space between them?
Thanks

what do you plan to haul?

are you using 2"x8"x12'?

if so the boards arent going to be a full 8" try 7 1/4"

If the boards are wet then put them tight together and if dry and seasoned then a 1/4" gap between them should be fine...

Yep as gavman said,, When we redo the trailers at work we go tight with the wet and to solve the gap issue we will use one piece of different down the center,, like all 2x8's then the center a 2x10 so there are no gaps..
