2015 LX 570 24,000 miles only been in service one year highway miles southern vehicle they want $63,000 would $60,000 be a good price or a great price?

The other ones a 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser 24,000 miles Toyota certified the first 24,000 miles was a rental vehicle in Florida looks clean hadn't been off Road or anything what do you think ibe a good price?

maybe + 10% for a '16 (IMO) considering new purchase transactions could happen at less 10-12% from MSRP
in some regions.

I was considering a '17 - they wanted $15,700 difference +TTL (allow $61K for mine and discounting the new '17 minus $9052 from $85,815 MSRP)....Decided I liked my '15 more than their new '17 & eventually passed.

I don't think I would pay that much for a 2015 when you could get a 2016 for about the same price.

The Nada Guide is a good general resource but prices in different areas of the country vary significantly. I'm in the weird gray area where the uber clean super low mileage 2013-2015's are not too far off from the 20k+ 2016's. When the '18's hit dealers there SHOULD be a small drop in prices and hopefully again at the beginning of the year as perception will indicate the used cars are another year older.

I'm thinking I might go 61 five for the 2015 because all those miles were put on the highway one year 24,000 miles if that's the price I will go in and I might also trade in my 100 series even though I could probably sell for $20,000 for one of the members my 2005 is rust free oldman emu 2 inch lift Slee step rock sliders is perfect New Lexus installed steering rack all maintenance up-to-date runs perfect. Wait a minute with 148,000 miles on my 100 shares am I stupid not to just keep it forever and just buy a Corvette for fun?

NADA states I should pay $61.775 for the 2015 and get between $13,250 to $15000 for my 2005 LX470 on trade. So worst case $48,525 difference. Would that be a good deal??

$60K would be my target....no idea on the LX value. In WA State, sales tax on the trade difference
amount vs total - dealer only transaction - no private party.

Not sure when the '18's hit.

18's should arrive in September.

SWUtah- everyone's situation is different so it's hard to say what you should do. If you trade in your cruiser you're likely to leave money on the table for sure. But if you need it as your down then that's a convenient way to go. You could always throw out a "feeler" ad to see if there's a buyer in the wings.

I have a very nice 2004 100 that I've taken great care of that will go up for sale after I buy my 200. I don't think I'd get close to market value on a trade. And there's no tax credit for trades in CA so I would not be getting that benefit. Not sure about TX.

Have you checked out the '16's? They've got quite a few great new features (except the goofy rear screens) but you'll add a decent chunk to get one. And most are rentals or the dealers have them priced close to discounted new '16's. Weird.

I've been looking for a '13-15 with low miles and may hold out for a '16. As far as NADA is concerned the difference in price for a 13 and 15 with 12k miles is nearly $10k for escentially the same vehicle aside from age.

The trick is being patient but not waiting too long as the good ones seem to go fast. If you're looking closer to clean retail pricing you may have more time.

Good luck in your search.

I wen through all that last fall. I ended up selling my 100 myself to another MUD member without even advertising it. The 100s that are in known good condition sell fast at a premium price. Don't even think about trading it in (unless you have to financially). The dealers won't give you anywhere close to a decent price. Keeping your 100 is good option, so don't feel pressured to jump at something that isn't perfect as a replacement.

I've no experience with the LX, but a '16 LC is a nice truck. I haven't looked recently, but back when I was, I found a few used '16 LCs that were off corporate leases for about the price range you're looking at with the '15 LX.

I say you should pay the least amount possible. Doesn't matter who says what.
Just be a firm and polish up those negotiating skills and don't get all emotional over the purchase at the dealership. Walk out if they give you too much crap and come back at the end of the month.

These higher end vehicles don't move as fast so time is on your side. The 18's are about to arrive and the 15 will be 3 years old and you'll be the one taking the hit for depreciation.

Something else to consider, from what I've read, the LC has a lot more options when modding than the LX. This is the main reason I chose the LC over the LX.

Either way you're getting a great truck. Buy what you want to drive 5 to 10 years down the line.

That's the "problem" with land cruisers. They're built so well and they continue to be a pleasure to drive for many, many years. I have wanted a 200 series for a while, but I don't want to let go of the 100.

Since you're talking an LX, I think getting to $60K will be hard, unless they bury the savings in your 100 trade.

Your trade may be problematic as an LX since it looks like you pulled the AHC. It really should sell easily in the LC enthusiast market, allowing you to focus on the net cost of the LX, giving up $900 in sales tax savings.

These are non-CPO cars that might negotiate lower, but $64K is about right for a dealer CPO truck.

Lastly, if that 2015 has only been in service one year, then it's in-service(dealer delivery) date is probably significantly older and could impact the type of extended warranty you might choose from a dealer, if you get that far, i.e., CPO Extension or Platinum wrap from the initial in-service date. Just something to keep in mind.

I had a buddy with a dealership that frequents auctions run some recent numbers for me about auction prices. Here's what he shared with me:

13 $45k 50k miles

14 $50k 45k miles

15 $57k 35k miles

16 $60k + 20k miles

These are the prices dealers have paid at auction. He didn't say how many of each year but I believe it's the average for each year.

He also mentioned that a lot are being bought and shipped overseas which is likely driving the prices up.

That seems weird to me.
I was told the same by Sewell in Dallas when shopping for my 2013 a couple of years ago. They get some great mark up apparently.

Not weird at all. Taiwan is a huge market for used Japanese vehicles. Much lower import duties than new vehicles and easy access to spare parts.
