I always assumed you'd need a check valve in almost any situation, as without one it could be just like driving around without the dipstick, but even that video says a checkvalve must be used when above the oil height.I didn't have a check valve. Just a gravity feed to the pan.
No check valve here. Mine drains to the sump below oil level as instructed. Thanks for posting the video, I hadn't yet looked into the proper return line configuration.
Are you guys with problems using a checkvalve on the returns?
As I've said before. If you don't actually need an oil separator it will work fine.I just drain whats in the return line 20 - 30 mil between oil changes.
Pics are long gone. Lost to the system..

Any update to this for mitigating the provent 200 use? I just put one on my 1hdt and I have oil present in the provent outlet to the air box after 1000 kms of use.
any other way to mitigate than the one proposed by @Dougal ?
Did you completely remove the valve or just switch the hoses? Berrima diesel have a catch can video explaining their cases of engine failure after reverse installs (without removing the valve).Ok, I reversed the inlet/outlet, lets see how it works, I installed the Provent 200 originally 12,000 kms ago.
Let's see how this effects the blowby.
Thanks all.

I’m using it, the kit is great quality but as I stated above I haven’t run it for long enough to know how well it works.I may just buy the Ryco RCC351K. Anyone use this?
