And the doors are mine. Soon to be painted Sage.

Want me to bring them to the meeting tommorrow nite?

Yes on the doors. Thanks

Here is a shot of the final build of the fuel tank. It is 24 gallons, and has an internal box that surrounds the pump and sending unit. The box as you see it is sunk 2" below the bottom but has internal sides that come within 2" from the inside top. The box has 6 5/16 holes at the bottom on the sides to allow fuel to enter but not slosh around. We have used this design in the offshore boats for years and it has worked great. It runs the stock 80 series pump and sending unit.

You're killing me. You must be home from NY. How were the Christmas lights and the Broadway shows? Yes folks Nolen went to see the Xmas lights in the big city.

Very nice trip to the big city. Missed the transit strike by a day

that tank is pimp

I see you've decided to delete the cats. Any idea of it's running condition without it? (is it throwing any codes?) Just curious since you'd expect the second O2 sensor to pick up some unexpected readings without the cats. That's great if it's a non-issue. With so many 80's becoming off-road only trucks these days the ability to tuck the exhaust high and tight as you've done is a major bonus.

Great work on this project, to all involved: JK, Slee and yourself!

The cats were deleted, but I will still run both O2s. The rear one being a dummy load. It should be fine. I have started it but not driven it yet so I'm not 100% on codes. The truck is using 100% of the intact 80 series systems though, so it shouldn't have issues. The body is in the Body shop being stripped to bare metal and won't be back for about 3 weeks so I am using this time to make the radiator mounts and to have the exhaust Jet Hot coated, and all of the other stuff powder coated.

Gary,
FYI.. My 3FE has been without cats for about 3 years.. code free. I even did a custom exaust and moved both of the 02 sensors down stream about an inch per sensor without problems. Both of mine are still hooked up. I thought about doing a dummy load, but decided it wern't broke, so why fix it.

so im sure this question has been brought up before, but what are you going to register it as? are you going to use the vin from the fzj80 or the fj45?

The registraion question is still up in the air. Technically you are supposed to register and test emmisions based on the later year of chassis/body. I think since I have a clear 96 title, I will go with that. Emissons have never been an issue in the Crested Butte area. I will probably haul it up there and get title/registration.

Thats strange because the ecu is looking for a signal from the rear O2 that is different from the front. The converter is responsible for that. Being you have a 3FE that would mean its a pre 95 correct? That would explain why it works I think. Your system would be OBD1 and I believe the ecu looks at the O2s differently.
