Yell at me if you need help lifting the body back on. You need to quit killing Kelly with that project of yours ;)

He's afraid you'll be trying to collect more pix for another hot-butt thread.......:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Gary,

I have to agree, that hard top or soft top, OEM soft doors are the way to go. IMO, OEM soft doors look better with a hardtop than OEM hard doors look with a soft top.

Maybe Ige can post some pics of her 40 with hardtop and OEM soft doors...a great look.

Even if you go soft top, I hope you finish the hardtop to match, at least for some poser shots and such. It would also help the value if you ever decide to sell.

Let's recap: Antique Sage Pearl, OEM Soft Doors, Hardtop AND Soft Top.:grinpimp:

Beautiful rig coming together, if it was diesel it would be the coolest build up ever.

can't wait for more pics

Cheers

Got drivelines done today. I decided to cut the firewall for AC clearance, so I am getting a piece of sheetmetal cut to fill in. That I should have by tomorrow. Cut out the fill for the 45 series tank, made a piece to fill it in, and welded it up. When I get the body back from the chem strip guys it will be primed, then its off to get the firewall, underside of cab and bed, and the inside of the bed Line-X'd. Also, by then I will have the fenders Line-X'd and ready to start assembly.

So will the Line-X be color-matched to whatever color choice you've made, or will it be a secondary color? I know Line-X can color-match metalics, and you had mentioned Antique Sage....

Looking Great Gary!! Can't wait to wheel with you!

It can be color matched and I am thinking about it, but I have heard stories of the color fading, so its open for discussion.

Bruce, this truck even when completely finished probably won't be up to your kind of wheeling.

Used to be Dave Reljac's when that picture was taken, right after the SOA conversion. Later went to Chad Smithson, who sold it to a Cruiserhead in the Southeast. Real nice truck, Dave had a super-rare OEM soft-top with the corner windows to go with it.

I must really suck if Nolen thinks I am impulsive. :D

And yes, I sold it right after Roundup.

And Gary, the only problem with the soft doors was the lack of any locks. But the benefits outweighed that greatly.

Lmao!!!!!!!!
