Cool, like how the paint matches the springs.....

Electrical can bring things to a turtles pace real fast, spent all day doing just that on a cruiser and felt like I got no where.

Looking good, the box turned out perfect, one of a kind.

Progress report:
AC is finished including all lines and wiring, truck wiring harness is installed, mounted all relays and fuse boxes, Bed is installed, tail lights are installed, although now looking at them I would opt for factory 45 tail light assemblies(next time), Fuel tank and radiator are installed in bed, and the steering shafts were cut and installed.

Saturday tuned out pretty productive. I got the 80 series gas pedal mounted along with the new throttle cable. Got the 80 series parking brake mounted. I had to change ideas a little as the 80 series brake cable would not allow me to put the handle where I wanted, so I decide to put it along the drivers side outer sill. The seat will be installed at a taller hieght so it should not be in the way.
After spended the most part of a day last week on restoring the factory emblems, I found out that they are still available and those came in on Saturday as well. I got the hood on, fender edges painted, emblems on, and new factory parking lights in the bib.

Getting tired of saying "wow" but WOW! Can't wait to see this in real life!
 
I was just thinking it would be cool to keep the airbags functionable. Then it would still be considered "safe" for highway and town driving.
 
I am not a big fan of airbags for off road use. I could see a defeat switch installed to do that, but the airbag system and all of its wiring has been removed. I will be driving it on the street without, and am OK with it.
 
I am not a big fan of airbags period. Maybe for a family vehicle, but on my personal vehicles I would rather not have one. Seen too many people hurt by them. If I am not saved by the 3+ tons of steel I am sitting in then its not going to be preaty either way :)

Looking good on the build! I am just itchin to see this finished!!
 
Got the tranny/power steering cooler mounted and plumbed in today. Also finally got the roll cage installed after painting it twice after I changed my mnd on color. I went body color and glad I did. I think it looks awesome. It really shows the lines of the truck now. I am like the kid going to Disney thats too excited to sleep.

Man that thing is big.

I would (if you still had the wiring) wire in a off switch for the airbag, like in a taco, and have airbags. I'm sure it's safe, and i'm sure you are ok with it. Just my thinking out loud is all.
 
I'll second a Toyota OEM headache rack. That truck is coming together like no other...

...between this build and the 45lv I have no reason to surf outside of Mud.
 
All I can say is...............FINISH IT, the suspense is killin' me here....:flipoff2:

Put the cab roof and the doors on so I can see it....:rolleyes:

I may try to duplicate the factory headache rack out of tubing so it will all match. The square tubing thing just dooesn't work for me. I would like some sort of removable rack for the rear for camping gear. I am thinking Rubicon obviously.
