This is a customer project that we have been really excited about! It started off as a 68 40 series that needed some body work and drive train fixing. It has evolved to a whole different animal. First off the body had some issues in the floor, whole rear section. So we tore it down!

Revised BMR includes
custom link suspension front and rear
Custom cage
Tube fenders
Custom interior
custom paint
12" stretch
Red Line Big brake kit
Beadlocks
35"s
custom width housings
Tuned port SBC
NV4500
Atlas 4 speed

AWE-YEAH!!!

Can't wait to see this thing - so bad ass!!

She's gonna be a beaut, Justin!

If this turns out anything like the 55 you had in Moab last spring, it's going to be supremely badass :grinpimp:

Definitely looking forward to what you come up with!!

we tore it all the way down, and found that the front cowl section needs to be replaced, and the rear tub, so we picked up a good 68 cowl. we are going to go through the motor, make sure its good and dress it up a little and change the camshaft. We decided to put a manual in so we need some lower rpm range.
It has a th350 with a factory t case adapter if anyone is interested, we are going to sell it.

Why why why??? :)

Keep the pics comin dude- this is gonna be so sick!

Why not offset frame stretch

Not trying to knock your work, but why did you just make a straight cut vs. the "typical" offset/angled cut that I see done when most people stretch the frame?

Seems like there would be some strength issues, especially since when welding on frames we typically always try to not make a vertical weld.

We cut up the frame and stretched it 12" OOPS!

Hi All:

Cool build, thanks for posting up & sharing with us!

We did straight cuts because the inner frame box plate is going to get fully welded, and we made an inner frame stretch section. Inside that section before we boxed it all in, there is a fully welded and molded triangulated scab plate. Plus when we build x members for the trans, skid plate , frame tie ins and the rear link x-member, they will be in front and behind that area. I promise you that will suffice for more than enough strength!
