Prices for 550? Showing 1300 days of inventory and 75 on my local lot… are dealers dropping prices yet?

Any recent pricing insights?

The dealer(s) by me, there are two, but the same company so they share inventory, only have a couple in stock to buy and one to test drive, and more scheduled to come in in the next month or so, but supply is still spotty, especially if you desire a specific trim/color/options. Nothing like 75 or even double digits in stock, are you sure it wasn't posting "In Transit" ones?

Cannot be right 1300 days is basically no data. Thst is more than 3.5 years. 75 in inventory is really low.

The LC is common to have $3500-6000 discount depending on trim.

Something is amiss with that data or your local dealer is greedy as hell with markups.

I pulled up Longo’s GX tally as of 4 March, 44 GXs in production or in transit. 43 of 44 are spoken for.

There are a few GXs in my area unspoken for. They are at dealers who have ‘market adjustments’. So, avoid them.

Having bought 2 Lexus from Longo my experience is their website is accurate and current.

What dealer/location has 75 on your local lot unsold?

Recommend sharing so the community can either buy one (and skip the line at Longo/others) or outright avoid that dealer and identify the markups or other greedy behaviors.

I was on caredge.com. Bad data feed then. My wife is ready to move on from the lx470 after 18 years So looking around . Just being hopeful then .. are engines failing like on the tundras ?

My 2024 GX has not blown up for a data sample of 1.

Lexus reportedly sold 30,914 GX550 in US in 2024 and I have seen zero reports of a GX with a spun bearing.

Other minor stuff on mine…. Brake howl - check, fixed. Passenger seat massage not messaging - check, fixed. Loose rear window wiper - check, fixed. Noisy roof rack - check, pulled it and sold it. Wiggly hood, present and accounted for and will get addressed at 10K service. ML stereo not worthy - check, don’t ever expect a fundamental improvement.

I’m overall happy with my year 1 and it’s minor issues. New vehicles are insanely complex. If you are concerned just keep the LX and fix everything on it and you will always be money ahead.

If someone V35a verified fails please share and include source for the benefit of others.

even tundra v35 failures are statistically rare, but change your oil on any v35 within the first couple hundred miles
and then again before 1000 imho

I changed the oil in mine ~750 miles, again at ~5K and will change every 5K.

Here’s to it not eating main bearings or coking out the oil in the turbo bearings!

yes..
mine was done at 500 1000 2.5k 5k 10k
drives great, blackstone analysis is in transit now at 30k

All good suggestions .. yeah lx is mechanically perfect .. at 200k just did steering / front suspension / cv axles flanges bushings All around .. about every 5 years she needs a big capital infusion …. Like you say tech is too much and not needed for her in newer rigs .. with big brother location tracking , etc . The main thing for the wife is trunk is a hassle to open / close for her with age on the Lx . If there was a way to make the tailgate lighter / soft close .. that is only real issue . Resolution has been just use back seat for smaller items . I don’t like power lift gates/ doors myself . I also no longer care about sun roofs or convertible tops . anymore . I do like traffic jam assist / lane keep assist , self driving stuff . For traffic and long hauls

Just picked mine up last week from Lexus of Brooklyn for MSRP. 3 week wait.
