price check: new 2013 LX

[LX prospect]

Howdy all.

Am looking at a new 2013 LX, silver with tan interior.

It has lux package, Levinson, IPA, rear DVDs, glass break sensor and remote start.

She stickers at $93K, dealer asking $78K.

What do you think of that pricing?

I know, it's a 2013, so she's a bit old already. I plan on driving her forever though.

PS - I was looking at $70K. May be too low, though the 2015 MY is right around the corner.

Sounds about right. I got my LC end of last year for a little over 10k off sticker. Maybe a dealer demo for 70k with 5k miles on it....

Depends on region dude. Wisconsin is a lot cheaper than Seattle eg.

Just saying- find a used one a couple of years older for 50k - they last forever anyway so let someone else take the big first hit on depreciation. If you are set on this one I'd push for the 70 and walk away and see if they call you- they want to move it and it is coming up on end of month again for them.

Btu speaks rationally but cars at this price range are irrational purchases at their core which is why it's so beautiful or fun.

The 13+ cruisers are going to be a great used buy in the years ahead because it comes with all the useful niceties like xenon plus radar plus pre collision assist, more pronounced fenders, etc.

I am curious what Toyota plans to do with the 300s if there is a next gen. I can't seem them releasing another 3 ton body on frame steel truck getting mid teens mpg here in the states.
