Hi Everyone – I know you all have a lot of questions about when the OHV trails are going to reopen on the National Forests in NC – Uwharrie National Forest. I have attached the official press release that came out today for the Badin Lake OHV Trail Closure Extension. The OHV trails will be remaining closed through May 31st with a tentative date of June 1st to reopen them.
We understand this is frustrating for all of you. We are trying our best to get our janitorial contracts modified to include the CDC guidelines for disinfection and cleaning more frequently for our vault toilets, bathhouses, restrooms, and trash pick-up. We are also trying to develop our safe working practices, purchase the PPE and other supplies we will need to work in the office and the field in order to provide an environment that meets the health and safety needs of the public and our employees.
