I hope I'm posting in the right place. I recently purchased a L Certified 2020 GX specifically for towing my 16ft Bambi Airstream with a dry weight of 3000lbs. When I went to pick the trailer up for the first time, I was a few miles into my drive home when the Pre-Collision Malfunction warning came up. I was going up a brief incline with no brake controller (I forgot it at home. I use the ECHO Bluetooth brake controller). Took the car to Lexus, they cleared the code. Picked it up again and within a few miles, the code came up again on a straight and flat road, this time with the brake controller. I took the car with the camper straight to Lexus and the cleared the code again; got 28 miles this time before the warning came up again getting off the highway (upward slant and turning right) still with the brake controller. They had the car two weeks and said it is my brake controller even though it went off with and without the brakes. Picked up my camper this last time, again without the brake controller (waiting on the new, wired one they insist I need to come in) and it happened again on a flat, straight road. They have not changed out the sensor or reset the computer even though I requested it. I did have my 7 pin changed in case the connection was bad and have had all of the electrical checked out by an RV shop. I have no idea what else to try. Any suggestions?

There is a reference in owner's manual disable PCS while towing

Are you getting much sag with trailer?

If so might want to see about having some rear bags that go into the rear coil springs installed.

No sag. I was unaware of this, but have many friends who tow similar trailers with the same vehicle and have no issues. It seems like there still has to be something that is off.

I'm curious what codes are being set.

You can pull the codes yourself with OBD dongle and your phone

My friend has tried to pull the codes with her dongle and nothing came up. One time a steering angle code came up. I am not sure the other times.

My friend is going to get that specific app, if it gives use codes, I'll let you know!

it usually takes a OBD reader that can query all the ECUs in vehicle… Techstream can but easier is with option I suggested. There are some 3rd party readers as well but not all can read codes from these ECUs.

Your friends likely follow the instructions in the owner’s manual to avoid having issues.

Not sure why you think something else is off, when there’s a section of the owner’s manual devoted to specifically this issue. Have you tried this yet?

None of these others turn their PCS off when towing and none of them have these issues. 3/4 tow the exact same camper as I do, one tows a larger one. No, I have no tried that yet because honestly I don't think about it. However, if 5 of us tow with the same set up and all 5 of us tow with the PCS on, it would reason that my car has something wrong like perhaps a faulty wire or bad sensor.

You are choosing to ignore instructions in your owners manual - instructions from the vehicle’s manufacturer - and then asking for help. This is comical.
Maybe try doing what the vehicle’s manual says you should do, and, ya know, see if it solves your issues.

She's from Florida. Anectdotal evidence from an uninformed party is considered scientific fact there.

The codes at the dealership today were C1290 and C1A50. They now suspect it might be my sway bars.
