Hello guys!
I overheated my transmission. I think I put not enough fluid in it. It happened twice, on the way to Squamish I went over the hill with the car slowing down, didn't know why. I didn't push it hard though. On the way back, the tranny started slipping, as the EGT went up on the hill. I still have this smell in my nose, I had to stop the car and then I see this warning red light AT temperature. Friend of mine pulled me over the top(300m), where I stoped and let the engine run for 5 min, shutted down for another 10min. Than started and went home, with mixed feelings.
Now, the fluid is burned. Should I do the tranny flush? Is the tranny gone? I know I have to try it first. I just don't want to spent more money if it's not necessary and rather save for a new transmission.
Thanks!

Try a flush, and check your cooler lines for obstructions and you radiator for proper operation.

I have to good used transmission in stock if you need something in a hurry.

thanks John, I'll let you know...
the hoses look ok from outside.
the engine also didn't have problems with overheating before. but there was broken Exhaust right after turbo. Now when its welded and nice quiet, I think the temperature goes up more quickly. Maybe the muffler is plugged?
thx
